Open-ended questions represent no problem to our pen-computer. The answers are just written onto the screen. Of course, the "fields" can be used for questionnaire-controlling - e.g. you can link up to a certain answer, if an open-ended question hasn´t been answered.

This codes will be connected to the other data and are then a further process through SPSS®.
